Safe to Eat 6 Month Expired Whey Protein Powder?

I stopped lifting weights for awhile and my protein powder expired. It was kept in my closet, so it has been in a cool and dark place. Also no moisture has gotten in so it hasn't clumped. I assume it might just start degrading a little and would still be fine to eat but wasn't sure. Internet search didn't really provide a definite answer. And since its derived from dairy. Has anyone eaten expired protein powder? Make you sick? Thanks.

Why is my rabbit shedding so much?

I've had him since April 26th of this year, and though it isn't a long time at all, I'm experienced and have quite a bit of knowledge on the topic of rabbits from spending pretty much every waking moment of my life with my rabbit. He was eight weeks old when I got him...I got him the exact day he was considered to be completely weaned. He molted last month, so I wouldn't think this is molting. He's not losing clumps of fur and he's definitely not going bald. You know when you wear a black shirt and hold a light colored cat and you end up with a massive amount of cat fur on your shirt? That's what it's like. My best guess would be that he's shedding because he's getting bigger (I swear he looks bigger every day than he was the day before) so he's growing more fur, resulting in shedding...but I just wanted to make sure. He lives outside in a homemade hutch (which is very safe) and I assure you he isn't sick.

Also, it sounds to me like you might have PCOS--polycystic ovarian syndrome--and that's why the doc said you may have cysts on your ovaries, and that's why you aren't having periods, and it may be contributing to you being overweight, which in turn is making it all worse. And that's also making you be pre-diabetic--you should have that tested. Or it might be that you don't have PCOS at all, but that your weight is messing up your period by causing your estrogen to be too high as compared to your progesterone--fat cells produce estrogen, leading to hormone imbalance. I don't know which is the case for you, but maybe you should stop the progesterone only and use condoms or sponges until you get to see the doc again.

IT is probably the pills doing it because of the hormones in them. not everybody has the same side effects to bc. the depo shot is suppose to cause you to not have periods but i bled for 13 weeks while on it. if it continues much longer, you may need to get on another form of bc or change the hormone level in them

I'm a freshman in high school in Texas that has year round schooling. So I'm like NEVER in trouble at school at all (I'm actually an honors student) but this morning I let my friends peer pressure me into joining them in bullying a girl during PE class, and we totally got caught. I felt bad about it as soon as I did it and I HAVE apologized. I know it was wrong. But the school isn't cutting me ANY slack even though I have a great track record. I got sent home early with a form informing my mom what I did (totally fair) and that I will be getting swats tomorrow. I just think this is a gross overreaction. I've never even had detention but once! I haven't given my mom the letter yet, though I know I need to when she gets off work today. I'm not saying I shouldn't be punished at all, its just that swats seems so extreme. I just don't know why I can't get a little slack?

Has anybody tried fasting every other day to lose weight?

I've been reading on the internet about studies and trials of fasting every other day. It looks like the studies were mostly of mice but I did see one article talking about a human trial. It was basically a feast one day, then a fast the next. They are saying because it is only one day you are not fasting long enough for your body to go into starvation mode or affect your metabolism, and the health benefits they have found were surprisingly good. They are saying this method of eating only every other day takes us back to what our bodies were designed to do in caveman days when we had to hunt or forage our own food, and that they have found a number of health benefits including prolonging the life span. I was wondering if there is anybody that has tried this and how it went. Did you lose any weight? Any side effects?

I'm on the birth control pill seasonique so I only get a period every three months, but a few days ago I got very very dark spotting and it stopped for a few days and then it came back and I've noticed dark grayish clumps after I go to the bathroom you know? How to apply mascara perfectly?

Guinea pig constipation?

Why am I losing my hair?

I'm a 15 year old male on Indian descent. Lately, for about a few months now, I've been noticing A LOT of stray hairs everywhere, like on my bed where I lay my head, or on the back of my shirt, etc. Usually if I run my hand through my hair, 2-3 strands of hair come out, and I can keep on doing this and it comes out. It doesn't come out in clumps or anything, just a lot of strays. My hand is usually covered in hair when I shampoo. So far the loss isn't anything noticeable on my head, I do have a lot hair, not shoulder length, but thick. The hair loss is rather noticeable if you look at my bed or pillow though, a lot of strays scattered about. My father isn't bald, nor is his father or my grandfather on my mother's side. I use Head and Shoulder's Shampoo and Conditioner in one. I do have an oily scalp, not excessively oily, but I've been told it is. I'm not under any particular stress, or I don't think so, at least, just normal. I always noticed a few strays when I shampoo and on the back of my shirt etc., but lately it's been more noticeable on areas where I lay my head. I used to have it fairly long, about shoulder length, but I keep it just past the ears for a while now, my hair is still thick and a lot though.

Mouth pimple or herpes?

About a week ago, I got a single growth on the inside of my lower lip. It died down after a few days (it seemed to be irritated by the mouthwash I use) and then when I started using the mouthwash again, it flared up. I tried popping it today, thinking it might be a pimple, and it bled. I've been looking online about distinguishing characteristics between mouth pimples and herpes -- it seems rare to get mouth pimples inside the lip, but it's a single growth, which makes me think (hopefully!) that it isn't herpes, which usually clusters. Are there more signs I should be looking for? Is there something I can definitively do to judge whether it's a mouth pimple or herpes (short of seeing a doctor; I'm not in my home state right now and am staying here for a pretty short while, so I'm reluctant to go through the hassle of finding a physician). I just bought some tempura sushi and there are these round things in a cluster on the side of the roll. Is it fish eggs, I'm assuming it's shrimp eggs because it was a shrimp tempura roll. Gray Clumps? On BC Pill.?

I'm on birth control. But I missed one day and then had sex with my b/f. I took plan b the day after just in case. A week later I had my scheduled withdrawal bleed. Preterm labor concerns, go back to the hospital or wait it out till monday?

Tuesday I woke up at 6 am with contractions that lasted all day, but they varied between painful and just uncomfortable. I called my doctor and she had me come in. She checked my cervix and told me I was dilated 2 cm then even witnessed the contracting because of how hard my stomach got when she measured me. So she sent me to labor and delivery to be observed and possibly get a shot to stop labor if needed. I continued to have contractions and she said I was possibly in early labor but they eventually sent me home because my cervix wasn't dilating further. I've been having the same kind of contractions, lower back pain, leg pain, and cramping since. I possibly lost my mucus plug today, there was no blood but a big clump of gooey discharge. I have another appointment Monday to check things out but I'm wondering if I should wait? I'm 36 weeks by the way.

Problem with acid reflux?

about once or a few times a day i have this really strange thing, I don't know if its heart burn or acid reflux because it doesn't burn. I think I may be O.C.D, and possibly paranoid.?

I've been focusing on things like this recently, and it has come to my attention that I seem likely to have O.C.D. The first instance of O.C.D like behavior I can remember is from when I was a little child. When I would ride in the car I would always look out the window, and watch the objects. Then I would count them. While others were talking to me during this I would count every word they said on the objects going past me and if their sentence didn't work out to be totally even I would break things up, clump things together, add in, or take out words. This really interfered with my listening, and by the time I noticed I was doing this it had been a few years and I found it difficult to stop. I still do this sometimes. Then once I had, for the most part, corrected this annoying error I began to grind my teeth to the syllables of things others said to me, and occasionally to what I said as well. Then began my germ phobia. It was completely unreasonable, and yet I still have it for the most part. I felt that everything was dirty, my own hands were always dirty, etc. If something were to compromise the cleanliness of a surface, even after it had been properly cleaned and relentlessly disinfected, I would feel that the germs were still there and it would, in my mind, render the object untouchable/unusable. I would wash my hands five or six times and always up to my elbows (sometimes higher) after little things like using the restroom, touching a remote control, touching a counter top, having used cleaning products on something, etc. Occasionally I find myself afraid of having picked up germs from an object I merely saw or considered touching, but did not so much as get near it. For a short period of time I found myself unwilling to touch my food, as I believed my hands would compromise the foods sanitation. So, I ate everything by picking it up with my mouth or a utensil such as a fork rather than my hands. This went even for potato chips or french fries; even a banana (very difficult). I eventually overcame this by washing my hands multiple times before I ate anything. I find I believe everything to be dirty. I re-wash dishes before I eat off of them even when I take them out of the dish drainer and they've only been washed moments before. Also, I am somewhat of a slob. But then I find after the room being messy only for a few minutes due to my slob habits that I go into mad Nazi-cleaning mode. I vacuum and dust and polish and organize and sort through and throw away. I even organize my clutter to be arranged in what I find to be a more appealing manor. As far as my personal hygiene, when I first get in the show I wash my hands with soap before I begin washing myself. Then after washing myself I was my hands with soap again. This keeps going on until I'm finished with my shower. This could just be my anger issues, but I get angry at myself for doing something wrong, even the slightest thing (for example, using an abbreviation that is for the most part useless), and find that I have a sort of compulsive need to fix the error, whatever it may be. This also comes in to play with my grammar, as I'm sure you have noticed. The slightest spelling mistakes make me freak out. Also, in a subject that I feel I'm right on, I absolutely REFUSE to allow someone to tell me otherwise. I am wholly unable to take criticism, even if it is constructive. Also, sometimes I feel a random need to get up and pace. I can pace for hours upon hours while not feeling like it has been more than five minutes. If for some reason I am unable to pace around I get this odd feeling, as though I literally need to be doing it, as though it were important and absolutely imperative that the task was performed. Also, as I'm sure of you have read, I have self-harmed (mostly in the past, I've been trying to quit) and each time I did so I always left three cuts/burns/bruises. Although this may not tie in here, as I created something for each to stand for (1: Punishment 2: Control 3: Clarity). Often times I find myself (unjustifiably) feeling absolutely superior to those around me. As though I can grasp things they cannot. In groups I feel that I have to be the one to do all the work as I'm the only one who can perform the task given correctly. I realize the others are capable of doing just as well as I, and possibly better, but I cannot help but feel otherwise. I also think I'm paranoid. This is due to the fact that on more occasion than one I've wondered whether or not someone was watching me; this occurs when I am completely alone. Sometimes I feel the need to correct my thoughts so that they might be appropriate in the event that anyone around me could somehow read minds. I also find when I'm at home I am extremely suspicious of my mother. She does not trust me and I find that I sometimes feel as though she may have installed cameras to watch me. I will admit to literally looking into things searching

alright so ive dyed my hair a few times and its always a long long time in between. a few years ago is was long and more silky now its rough! its so annoying because ill run my fingers through it and clumps will come out! Hey, i don't want to come across as a caveman looking for fights. I'm just looking for some tips on how to win a fight, knock somebody out, some self defense moves and how to control the 'fight or flight' feeling. I hate periods....IN SCHOOL !!!!! and need help please?!?

Ok soooo, i started my period last summer and since then it has been EXTREMELY heavy :( in school i have usually spent the heaviest days at home or at school, not being able to move very much for fear of a leakage. I also don't like having to change my pad at school because i always go to the toilet with friends ( which sounds weird, we just walk there together and go in different cubicles. OBVIOUSLY!) but none of my friends have started and the pad makes a very loud noise! And im also worried about odour. Why do I always forget to put words in sentences when I write?

For me it was while I was taking my morning p*ss. First, I thought it must have been nice for cavemen to be able to pee anywhere. Then I thought, if cavemen could pee anywhere they must never have had a reason to hold their urine in. Then I wondered if any cavemen had held their urine longer than I had ever held my urine. I mean, it might be possible that I've held it in longer than any caveman. They had no etiquette, but maybe some caveman was on a super intense long hunt and had to hold his pee from urinating. Did cavemen put that much thought into hunting that a hunt would take that long without any opportunity to pee?

Unusual cycle w/ other symptoms..?

Period was 5 days late in May and only lasted about 2.5 days..it was very unusually light most of the time..than about 2 weeks after that period started I started spotting a brown discharge for about 2 days...than following that I had a clear jelly clump like dicharge for about 2 days....other on and off symptoms are headaches, dizziness, cramps,constipation, minor nausea here and there...I can drink 2 redbulls an go to sleep right away..my period is due to start again in about 5 days. Chicken Help!! Any suggestions?

I have a chicken, probably around 2-3 yrs old, we got her and some of her buddies on the 4th of April. About a month ago, we introduced some new young birds, gradually, and now everyone is co-existing well. On Friday, I noticed my big girl Biggie, had her comb was discolored and laying on her head (usually is erect and a bright red), she seemed very slow, delayed reactions and very careful about where she stepped. She's way out of it. She is not eating, depressed like, stays to herself, not interested in her free time (not even when everyone sounds the worm alarm and they go nuts) she'll just stand or lay there, not interested. There has been a few times where I see her yawning (like she's trying to dislodge some thing, but she's not gaging or choking) and she occasionally has a goober of drool from her beak. Her breathing is rapid, and she has some runny stool, but its not clumped on her bottom and she is not herself at all. The young birds were de wormed 2x prior before introduction, and the big girls were de wormed 2x before the introduction and as an entire flock they were de wormed after introduction. My husband cleans the entire coop ever 2-3 days, they are fed crumble, oyster shells every day, and corn 1 to 2 x a week thrown out in their paddock where they have free time. They get free time in a controlled setting, and are allowed to forage for bugs and on grass. I don't think she is laying, she's hardly walking or eating. We separated her to prevent the other girls from picking on her. Any suggestions. I was leaning towards coccidosis, however, labored breathing doesn't fit into the symptoms, and sour croup, but she doesn't have a smell? Any suggestions. I've tried all the vets around here, and none of them see chickens and yest we are in a rural area! ={ They suggest butchering her to prevent contamination of the rest of the flock.... ok if I need to , but I will not do that yet, because I don't know what it is and no other birds are displaying any of her symptoms. Desperate, I tried cleaning myself out with water and my fingers, and found a white, odor-less substance almost resembling small clumps of very soggy toilet paper (but with a different consistancy). I didn't seek any medical help or treat it in any way other then cleaning myself like mentioned before. Within a few weeks, it went away on its own. But now it appears to be back. Is this just a bacterial infection that can be treated with OTC antibiotics? I'm a virgin, so its not an STD. I'd really really rather not see a doctor for this.

Sounds like it could be a blocked milk duct. I had this, which in my case led to mastitis several times. Expressing made the pain worse and feeding relieved it. One doctor I went to see told me it was thrush, another said mastitis. Antibiotics worked miracles. Mention it to your health visitor. In the meantime I am afraid there is little you can do. Why did I just gush out discharge?

So a couple days ago I went to the bathroom and when I wiped there was this clump of gooey clear stuff that I assume was discharge. For the last two years I have gone to a six day (Sunday to Friday) hockey camp.
