How do men like their girlfriends to make them feel?

I love it when my girlfriends make me feel like i'm the only one they find attractive lol. Seriously though I absolutely hate it when they talk about other guys being attractive. That includes celebrities. I also like feeling appreciated, and yes being complimented is something I highly enjoy because it doesn't happen often. Yes you are sort of right about the who protection thing. I love it when they act vulnerable and need help and protection.
