Are werewolves really that overused?

I feel like they are usually clumped together with vampires and that's why some people feel that way. I was in the bookstore the other day and all I saw was vampire books. I can't remember the last time I saw a book with werewolves with no vampires and it was not a paranormal romance. So can aspiring authors still write about werewolves as long as those two things are not included? Or are people really that over werewolves?
